Attracting 1900 participants from 20 countries, the summit highlighted current and emerging industry trends.
Interest in the Indian flexible packaging industry was palpable with strong participation by industry leaders from India and all around the world, from brand owners, films, inks, adhesives, flexible packaging to machinery and more. The world class facilities at the new Jio BKC Convention Center were also appreciated by visitors to the summit.
Team Brilliant was represented by its Global Sales and Tech Services Teams. The summit was an excellent opportunity to meet customers, partners and industry colleagues to exchange new ideas and co-create the way ahead for the dynamic packaging industry; with sustainability, customer delight and food safety being buzz words at the summit. Reporting rapid growth in sales, Brilliant Polymers Managing Director, Gaurav Talwar said, “With our strong customer base in India, the subcontinent, Africa, the Middle East and South-East Asia, Elite Plus was the perfect platform to meet our customers as well as connect with new ones in focus markets.”
Among the expertly curated content over the two-day summit, were several keynote speeches by industry leaders. Gaurav Talwar MD, Brilliant Polymers, spoke about the “Latest Developments in Laminating Adhesives for Flexible Packaging” The talk covered key aspects relating to sustainability, food safety and focused on the latest advances in solvent-free and solvent-based adhesive technologies. Talwar announced the launch of two new and highly innovative product lines developed by the company. “We expect these products to be gamechangers for our customers,” he said. The talk was well received and led to many interactions at the company’s booth with customers interested in these new developments.
About INTERPACK Interpack is considered one of the world’s leading trade fairs for packaging solutions and processes and takes place in the impressive Messe Düsseldorf – one of the largest and most modern exhibition centers in Europe. As a major city in the Ruhr area, Düsseldorf offers excellent transport links, including an international airport, and a wide range of hotels and restaurants. The fair, which was launched in 1958, takes place every 3 years.
Organized by the well-known Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, a German trade fair organizer that is renowned for holding numerous international trade fairs and congresses. Interpack focuses on processes and machines for packaging food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, consumer goods (non-food), and industrial goods. On the whole the organizers welcomed on the 7 days of the fair and about 2866 exhibitors from 55 countries and 170899 visitors from 169 countries in the Interpack in Düsseldorf.

The fair held from 4-10 May 2023 marked Brilliant’s inaugural representation at Interpack. The team welcomed customers, partners, suppliers and industry colleagues from around the world to our stall. The excitement and growth prospects for a sustainable packaging industry were palpable.
2023 INTERPACK Highlights
We had a great first day at Interpack 2023 and had already received many new enquiries about our products and innovations. From this morning international experts from the packaging industry have been meeting at the Brilliant stand, exchanging ideas and chatting about current topics.
Brilliant Polymers showcased a wide variety of solutions from our portfolio and visitors at our stall were happy to discuss these with us. We were looking forward to the coming days of the fair after a successful Day 1.

The second day of the fair was exciting and once again we were able to welcome numerous visitors to the Brilliant stand at Interpack. Day 3 was another exciting day for Team Brilliant. We had a fun time exploring new opportunities and building new networks by visiting stalls of other manufacturers and service providers. As Team Brilliant is always keen on improving the Technological aspect of our products, we also met our local partners at Interpack and had a brief discussion about our future plans and innovations. The weekend and once again the hall at the Interpack in Düsseldorf were extremely busy and we had some very good discussions at our Stall. Brilliant Stall saw many new faces and visitors from all over the world and our Team networked and made some good connections.

It was the last and final day of the Interpack 2023 which was gradually drawing towards a close and Team Brilliant thanked all visitors and exhibitors for making our participation at the Interpack 2023 an extremely successful event! India’s leading manufacturer of laminating adhesives for flexible packaging, Brilliant Polymers has announced a large-scale capacity expansion in the form of a new state-of-the-art plant at its site in Ambernath, Maharashtra. The new facility, which was inaugurated on 2 July 2022, will double the company’s production capacity and represents a significant milestone in the ongoing transformational growth journey of Brilliant Polymers. The recipient of several prestigious business growth and innovation accolades (including The Financial Times High Growth Companies Asia-Pacific and The Economic Times: India’s Growth Champions Award for the 100 fastest growing companies in India) the new facility leaves the company poised for a period of market domination.
Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director Gaurav Talwar, said,
The capacity expansion comes at an opportune time as the flexible packaging industry continues to expand and the demand for our products remains high. With the completion of the second plant, Brilliant has further strengthened its position in the Indian and global markets. We are confident that our Promise of Technology, Quality and Service will continue to give us an edge.
With an investment exceeding 100 Crore Rupees (US $12.5 Million) in the new plant, the company’s total capacity at the Ambernath site has doubled to 45,600 Metric Tons which makes it one of the world s largest single sites for the manufacture of laminating adhesives. Mr. Talwar further added that This investment is backed by a strong conviction in India’s growth potential as well as a deep and nuanced understanding of the market dynamics of the flexible packaging industry. We currently supply between 2.5 to 2.7% of the world s requirement of solvent-based and solvent-free laminating adhesives; with our new capacity we expect to increase our share in the global market to over 5%.
Brilliant Polymers started operations in 2013 and since then has grown to become the largest manufacturer of laminating adhesives for flexible packaging in India with a reputation for developing some of the industry’s most innovative and robust products. With the new capacity the company aims to strengthen its grip in global markets as well as in new technologies.
Plant 2 Inauguration
The inauguration was attended by all Brilliant team members who, along with members of the Board, conducted a puja followed by a ribbon-cutting and walk-through of the new facility led by the Managing Director. Dr. Ravinder Talwar, Chairman of Brilliant Polymers said, The opening of Plant 2 is an important landmark in the history of Brilliant Polymers and the investment represents the company’s long-term commitment to its customers, employees and business associates in the country.
The new plant is controlled by a cutting-edge DCS system. Large batch sizes of up to 35 tons enhance capacity, quality and ensure significant economies of scale.
Innovation and New Products
In addition to the increased capacity, the new facility brings increased capability. Plant 2 will allow the company to further step-up its R&D initiatives with the launch of several new products in the solvent-based and solvent-free adhesives space planned in the coming months. New high-performance solvent-based adhesives including applications such as retort and high running solids of 50 55% solids are also in the pipeline. In the fast-growing solvent-free space, the company intends to launch new low monomer products made with pure MDI. These offer extremely fast chemical and physical cure rates with very rapid PAA decay times: a must in todays regulatory scenario. Along with these benefits comes the robust and user-friendly nature of products that the market is used to seeing from Brilliant Polymers.

Brilliant Polymers has won a prestigious IFCA Star Award for its product S745 in the ‘Innovation’ category. This is the 5th consecutive year that the company has won an IFCA Star Award.
The IFCA Award Ceremony and IFCA-Koelnmesse Seminar were held in Pragati Maidan, Delhi on 3 December 2021. Several industry experts spoke about the latest developments in the packaging industry and Pravin Nadgoundi of Brilliant Polymers presented on the topical issues of food safety and sustainability.
Brilliant S745 is innovative single component moisture curing solvent-free adhesive and has been designed for an extremely fast cure in laminates while maintaining user-friendly characteristics. It can be used for laminations involving paper or board and has applications in flexible packaging, graphic arts and carton manufacturing.
